Oh my gosh, Mins. I can’t count how many times we’ve gone to see Disney On Ice now, but this is the first one you were SUPER in to. You sang along and got so excited when Stitch and Tink and Ariel waved to you, that you needed to write it down in your new diary. Yes. WRITE. You can write real things now, which blows my mind and makes my heart explode with every emotion. You’re growing up so fast and getting SO funny. Between the fake fart noises (which I hope you don’t do in school) and talking in different accents, and deciding which is better - Tinkerbell high heels or a Tinkerbell diary, I am mesmerized.
Tonight you promised (even though you said you wouldn’t remember), that when you’re 13 you won’t be embarrassed by my blinking Minnie ears and we’ll keep our tradition alive. You asked what intermission was so thoughtfully and seemed so genuinely thankful for our evening together. Running to the car, hearing you say “Yea. The skunk is my favorite, too” and trying to scream “NO! YOU ARE CRAZY!” the loudest on our way home are things I never want to forget. While we’re at it, let’s also put sitting on the front steps waiting for Santa on Christmas Eve, girl bonding while we did our make up on NYE, and when you called me in after the ball dropped to watch Tangled until you fell asleep in the “never forget” column, too.
I love you so much more than I ever knew was possible and thank you for sharing your life with me.
